Pen to Paper with Sheaffer
*Update: this giveaway is now closed. Congratulations to Elizabeth!*
While I turn to Pinterest, magazines and favorite design blogs for inspiration, my most profound moments of creativity stem from real-life experiences. From adventures abroad to people watching at our town’s little coffee shop, I always have my notebook and Sheaffer fountain pen tucked inside my bag to document all things fascinating.
My mother is an incredible artist. In a cruel twist of irony, I did not inherit the “incredible artist” gene (as documented below). Still, I sketch my concepts to further develop them on paper. This week, I sketched a winter tablescape. Developing the concept in my notebook helped me determine runner fabric dimensions and visualize each tiny detail. For me, sketching is very zen. Some of my best ideas have grown from my notebook and pen.
Aside from sketching, many letters have been penned with my Sheaffer fountain pen. I also journal editorial ideas for my blog on a tiny notepad kept on my desk. Do you keep your ideas on paper, too?
My favorite pen is the Sheaffer Intensity fountain pen. The Cornflower Blue stripes and chrome finish are so sleek and the thin grip is comfortable to hold. When I’m on the go, I keep my pen tucked inside its Sheaffer box to keep it in pristine condition.
And today, Sheaffer is giving my favorite pen to one lucky reader!

I too, will Sheaffer my sketches! How to make the routine glamorous! I’m off to “Like” Sheaffer!
Glamorous, indeed!
Erika, thank you so much for sharing your Sheaffer Story! I love the way you use the pen and keep mine in my handbag too. I always feel extra fancy when I go to use it! Happy New Year!
Thank you so much, Mindy! Happy New Year to you!
I’ve already “liked” the Shaeffer page a while back when I discovered it was there. Shaeffer pens were the first one I had (the school ones) when I entered 6th grade, and there started a life-long love for fountain pens. I like to dedicate pens to one writing task. This one should be the one by my bedside, along with my late night idea notebook… with blue ink.
What a fantastic story! Thank you for sharing, Beatrice!
My mom actually got me a gorgeous journal for Christmas, which will hopefully get me back into the habit of keeping one, so a beautiful pen like this would help the cause!
Thanks for the giveaway!
